Top 10 Pain Producers: Introduction

I put together this little guide to answer some of the top questions I have received over the years. These are some of the lessons I teach on a DAILY basis to new clients and “regulars.”

First, let’s ensure that there is an understanding of my words and analogies ~ You’re reading my thoughts ~ **shudder**

PAIN: What is pain? The dictionary provides a rather straightforward definition. Pain is a sharp unpleasant sensation, usually felt in some specific part of the body. It is also a state of great suffering of body or mind, emotional distress.

A pain is also someone who is obnoxiously annoying, but that’s in another guide!

MIND-BODY-SPIRIT: Defining the body-mind-spirit connection is a bit trickier, but I will use Iron Man as an analogy. If you haven’t seen Iron Man, I’m so sorry. I do highly recommend it because it’s a great movie.

We are spiritual entities who are in possession of and inhabit physical bodies. There is a misconception about where our energetic essences reside. Many people believe our SELVES are housed in our brains, inside our skulls. That is like saying my true spiritual essence is the man Tony Stark, but that is not the case.

Our minds, the consciousness, the outwardly expressed behaviors – those are represented by Tony Stark.

Our spirits – our TRUE SELVES- are infused and enmeshed in every cell and intracellular matrix (the stuff in between our cells) in our bodies. And that, my friend, is Jarvis – the SUPER DUPER, heard-but-not-seen, all-knowing, INNER SELF that controls everything and yet responds to orders given by our conscious minds, by Tony Stark.

Our bodies are – DRUM ROLL PLEASE- the Super Suit.

Really let that gel and ENVISION the thinking, feeling, acting processes that go on within you. Tony misbehaves and makes conscious decisions that defy Jarvis, his infinitely wiser spirit self, and those decisions ultimately trash his Super Suit.

How often has this happened in your life, where you have trashed your Super Suit? It’s happened to me more times than I count!!!

Given that basic analogy and understanding, I will now introduce you the top 10 causes for your pain. I will then address each item and how to manage it simply and practically.

9. Too much exercise
