Down & Dirty Recovery Cakes

These tasty treats are what I call “binge proof” because they are so satisfying and balanced in nutrition.

I created this recipe for my first Grand Canyon adventure, inspired by the Dessert Angel and my line of high-quality
nutrition products (YorHealth).

I made them for my friend Brent for his first marathon.

…and everyone has been demanding this recipe –

These little delicacies do more than satisfy – they actually help your body recover!

They would be used instead of a store-bought protein bar.

Down & Dirty Recovery Cakes

Makes 12 cakes

Ingredients

1 Can Organic Black Beans
2 Eggs
2 Tbsp Ground Flax
¼ Cup Coconut Oil
1-2 Tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
2 Scoops Glutamine
1 Scoop YorHealth Muscle Energy
2 Scoops YorHealth SuperGreens
2 Scoops YorHealth Protein
⅓ Cup Water
Trader Joe’s Gluten-Free Brownie Mix

Directions

1. Rinse black beans.

2. Combine beans, eggs, flax, coconut oil, cocoa powder, glutamine, muscle energy, and protein in food processor and mix until smooth.

3. Transfer batter into a large bowl, adding the brownie mix and water. Stir until blended.

4. Pour batter into lined cupcake pan.

5. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

6. Taste and recover!
